What you get

  • 24-bit WAV master + streaming-optimized version
  • MP3 reference for quick sharing
  • Instrumental and a cappella versions on request
  • Stems delivered on request
  • Two revision rounds included at mix stage
  • Full ownership of your recording — no hidden splits

The room

The JOYTI studio is a writer's room first — a place to chase a feel rather than watch a clock. Live saxophone, keys, flute, and clarinet are always on hand, which means arrangements can grow in the moment instead of being assembled from samples.

Sessions are run by John Holloway from start to finish, so the person who writes with you is the person who mixes and masters your record. Working remotely? Send stems or a phone demo — the process is the same.

How to prep your files

  • Send stems as 24-bit WAV at the session sample rate, all starting at bar one
  • Print effects only when they're part of the sound — dry versions welcome alongside
  • Leave headroom: peaks around -6 dBFS, no mix-bus limiter
  • Name tracks clearly (kick, lead vox, sax 1) and zip the folder
  • Include tempo, key, and any reference tracks you love
  • A phone demo is fine to start — polish isn't required to get a quote

Add-ons

  • Extra revision rounds beyond the two included
  • Alternate radio, clean, or shortened edits
  • Vocal tuning and comping from raw takes
  • Live horn or woodwind overdubs on an existing mix
  • Dolby-ready and vinyl-prep master variants
  • Distribution and metadata prep guidance

Questions, answered

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most projects run remotely — you send stems or a rough demo, and sessions are tracked and delivered from the Charleston studio.

What's the typical turnaround?

A mix or master usually lands within a week. Full productions depend on scope and are scheduled after the discovery call.

How is pricing handled?

Per project, not per hour, so you know the number before work starts. Send the details and you'll get a written quote.

Can you play on my track?

Absolutely — saxophone, keys, flute, and clarinet sessions can be booked on their own without a full production package.

Ready to build something great?

Tell me about your project — a song, an EP, a brand soundtrack. We'll find the right shape.
